A spirited adventure around the wild Highlands learning about wildlife and our iconic tipple!
Led by our experienced wildlife guide and whisky lover - Martyn Jamieson - this is a wildlife week with a strong whisky theme running through it. We will explore the hills and glens for their wonderful wildlife and will stop to enjoy distillery tours and even a little ‘sampling’ along the way! Presentations and an entertaining whisky tasting will round off your knowledge of the most iconic of Scottish exports - the water of life.
Wildlife days out amongst the wild Highland landscapes in which Scottish whisky had its genesis. We’ll look for divers, rutting red deer, eagles, red kites and more.
A day on the Black Isle includes a wonderful two hour boat ride to look for bottlenose dolphins and seabirds.
A day on Speyside - whisky heartland. We'll take in several distillery visits and tours to learn about local malts and their creation.
- A day in the Cairngorm National Park where we’ll take the opportunity to look for crested tit, crossbill and other pinewood speciailsts.
A closing meal specially crafted by Lucy Lister Kaye in which whisky is creatively used in every course.
Aigas weeks are fully inclusive, including a couple of drams in the evening, entrances to all distilleries and any extra costs. There is no singe supplement. This programme is limited to 12 guests.
